Sophie Wilcox is a unique artist who creates detailed pieces in a very contemporary and cinematic way. Her work is staged as such to allow the audience to conceive deeper emotional connection to the pieces as well as inspiring thought and mystery. For Sophie, Photography is a way for her to tell a lifetime of stories in a moment captured in time and thus in the minds of the audience. Taken at face value an image is halved, it's when we take the time to look deeper and connect with an image that we can truly understand  its meaning, and for Sophie this is her ambition, to take what we see in front of us and create a story.

Looking forward, Sophie is moving towards a career in the film industry as a director of photography, once again telling her stories in a captured moment. The dexterity of the moving image is a logical evolution and will give Sophie the capacity to connect with people in a very unique and intimate way. 

Sophie is a deeply talented photographer with the ability to create a narrative and tell her or anyone else's story through her work. In the past she has worked alongside professional photographers on shoots as well as being hired by numerous independent organisations to photograph and document events. Whilst her work centres around cinematic and emotive narratives, she has the ability to interchange to real world capture while incorporating her own skill.
